I like Textar stuff which was OE on a lot of cars. I've also had very good experience with Mintex parts. Fitted Mintex to my last E38. Great feel, minimal dust and they wear very evenly.

Well i can't afford an Alpina one, but i may well look at getting in an IL. Test drove one the other day, and i thought it was much better than the V8 which i didn't see what all the fuss was about. I personally like the 2.8 better than the V8. I did like the turbine noises from the V12... 8) Thank ...

I don't mind stitching on the seats.
Roundels on the bonnet/boot badges, are super chavvy though.

Actually, when i picked the interior up it turned out it was Oyster. Still looks pukka though.
I'll post pics once i've done the huffing and puffing chucking it in.

As already suggested, the D3 MT is the least likely Alpina to suffer from being enhanced with additions like leather, as long as it retains the the key features like suspension and aesthetics (wheels/spoilers, etc). Just don't expect it to drastically increase its value like some folks have done an...

Great job Jim. As the others say, well done for doing stuff properly. Most garages won't put in the time necessary to get the finishes and protection right. On the plus side, think yourself lucky you don't have an late 90's/2000's Merc! Trust me... Lol. I had a 2002 E55, and the whole sill on each s...

I would swap the interior if I were you. The D3 MT is not going to be a collectors car in all likelihood, so unless you intend to enter it into concours events where originality is more important I wouldn’t be worried. The Alpina specific parts are what are more important to keep OEM. The seats a...

D3 MT leather upgrade

Right... We all know the original D3 came in a fixed spec with a generic BMW half leather sport interior. Mine is in good condition for its age with no discernible wear. I have bought a complete leather sport interior with door cards and all the other bits etc. I was all ready to go and fit this int...

E38 V12

Anybody had one?
Tell me your experience...
I know the E38 intimately but not the V12 version.. Any advice or experiences will be greatly appreciated. How are they to work on, reliable etc.
