Good stuff Out of general curiosity for the market value of a B5 Did you make the asking price? Unfortunately not, a little way off it. I have a limited window to get what I want as my next car so took the hit. As Chris pointed out in the Facebook group, these are such niche cars you're selling to ...

Sold this afternoon, buyer already taken it away. Bit of an emotional afternoon given the sentimental attachment I had to it, but onwards to the next car!

Re: Lovely car and a quick question

Stunning colour combination, but then I am a little biased as it is the same colour combo as my first B5 about 6 years ago! A quick question which I hope you can answer please - was the CIC retrofit a fitting you had undertaken in your ownership, could you PM any details to help, as this is somethi...

Spotted B10 and D5 around Reading/M4

Two Alpinas in an afternoon ! Yesterday on the way home spotted a blue B10 on the J8/9 roundabout of the m4, then followed Westbound for a bit. I did wave a few times but no response. Then pulled up in the Costco car park and spotted a D5 parked nearby, said a quick hello to the owner, nice to meet ...

Echoing the comments here, thanks to Neil, Charles and everybody for organising. Was great to put some faces to names, especially fellow B5 owners Les and Chri who I'd spoken to on the forum and FB group. Some great cars on display, nice mix of old and new. Stewart and I had our own spirited drive a...

I'd possibly be interested in a group buy if possible 8) The more the merrier Absolutely :) Where are you based in Berks - I'm in Reading. The car will need to with Unique for a full day, sometime in April - is that ok for you? I'm in Wokingham so not too far. Do we have a rough idea on price? Chee...

So, back from the specialist today and good news.....looks like it was the crank case ventilation valves, both replaced and the boost pipes cleaned out. I'm sure the car feels noticeably more responsive.
Thanks for all the pointers :-)

Is it consuming oil Rubes78? No noticeable consumption, not sure if it was before it went in for the service to be honest. It had been off the road for the winter and the only reason I took it out this early was because of a new job where I now need to commute. Trying to get it booked in next week ...
