Re: Alpina Insurance

Morning All I've just renewed my policy for another year. I've gone through Howden's again (previously A-Plan). I'm actually insured with Highways Insurance through Howden's. Last year I paid £361. This year, £463. To be honest, I'm quite happy with that considering some of the horror quotes I've se...

Re: Pirelli P-Zero v Michelin p4s

Just had a set of PS5's on the rear. £396 all in. I'll see how they feel compared to the P-Zero's.

Re: Pirelli P-Zero v Michelin p4s

I've been running P Zero's on mine now for a few years and really liked them. I've recently been trying to source new ones for the rear and experienced difficulty. In the end i e mailed Pirelli UK and they have told me that the P Zero has been discontinued :( :( . I'm now looking at Michelin PS5's. ...

Re: Help - my renewal quote doubled !!

My renewal is due on the 17th March so should be receiving a quote in a week or so. I paid £361 last year. I'll brace myself for this years quote.

Re: Parts delays

Alex I had the front springs replaced on mine last year. I recall waiting around 4 months for the springs to arrive Germany. I also ordered a Decal for my front bumper, 3 months. I thought i saw another post on here recently that E46 Shock absorbers were not available and Alpina were liaising with t...

With regards to the brakes, i had my front disks and pads replaced a while ago. The disks are standard E46 330i with uprated pads for the Alpinas.

Re: A strange sound from somewhere

Hi Charles

Thanks for the reply. I haven't checked the fan coupling but I will. If I can't work it out, I'll wait until it goes into Lee Shannon for the Oil Service and get him to have a look. I guess I'm checking for any play in the coupling itself?

I'd like to attend but I've recently cancelled my BMWCCGB membership. Shame as Thruxton is a only a quick blast up the A34/A303.
