A recent problem with my now dead E39 was brake wobble under braking. Turned out to be poorly fitted front discs where the hub had not been properly cleaned before fitting the new discs. New discs and proper fitting cured this (for a week as the head gasket blew at that point.

Just replaced a punctured PS3 with a PS4 - feels spot on for the chassis and cheaper (and better spec) than a PS3.

Annoyingly I'm only using the Alpina because my winter wheel equipped BMW E39 estate blew its head-gasket just before Christmas, writing the thing off. But this part of South Bucks has some of the worst roads anywhere I've seen.

Took it up the road to have the NSR tyre, an almost new Michelin PS3, replaced as it had hit one of the numerous potholes locally and got a big bulge. Fortunately the alloy was untouched but this is now the third time in my ownership of my three Alpinas (ie the last 4 years) that I have written off ...

There's nothing nicer than a car that's just been detailed. My B3 is about to get a Charles Morgan perisher detail - Fast glass on the windows, and the rest untouched!

Got the bill. Including fitting and VAT, I paid the shocking total of £8.40 for a valve.

Can't complain about that!

Well, tyre valve B91.47.3.610.061 has sorted the problem on my B3, it took all of 5 minutes with a very thin walled 13mm 1/4 drive socket from a cheap Taiwanese socket set my neighbour has had for years. I'll find out the price for the part from my local garage who kindly ordered it in for me from B...

Bit of a thread resurrection, but I had a slow turned fast loss of air in my rear nearside wheel, and faulty valve was diagnosed. Thanks to this I was able to find a very thin walled socket and when the valve was out, my garage determined where the O Ring should seat, wheel corrosion was preventing ...
