Re: Latest Rumours- only B7 and XB7 from BMW?

As you imply this is all the more reason to cherish the cars we have. There is a few articles online on this one such as here dated 15th March 2024 https://www.bmwblog.com/2024/03/15/bmw-push-alpina-upmarket-bring-back-b7/ where the following is stated: "ALPINA is expected to stop being a mélange o...

BMW 6 SERIES 635 CSI Pickup 1988

Not seen this before, a BMW 6 SERIES 635 CSI "Pickup" 1988 with "Alpina Classics" on, so maybe a double busted!

Re: G21 B3 Pirelli ALP Tyres

Had the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S PS4S on for three months now and all is good. A mixed bag of weather which is good and all has been positive. The other big one for me is how long they will last. The ALP Pirelli lasted 12/13k each so on a third set of tyres at the 25,000 mile mark. Driving style is n...

Re: G21 B3 Pirelli ALP Tyres

The one thing I would like to compare is miles carried out. I will only know this to compare in the future, but as a benchmark the Pirelli tyres lasted around 12,000/13,000 miles. It will be interesting to see what the Michelins achieve over time on these all wheel drive Alpina vehicles. Any other e...

Re: G21 B3 Pirelli ALP Tyres

Hi Andy, This was my order in March 2023 from Camskill. We are about three months in and everything is good. Admittedly it has been very dry in the UK with no real challenging weather on a weekly basis but all is very good for me in the highly torqued D3S. Michelins are doing fine and order details ...

I'm planning on switching from P Zero ALP to MPS4S, if this doesn't cause drivetrain issues. I've been v disappointed with the P Zero performance.
Agree with this one on the performance and I have just done the switch to MPS so will see how they get on.

I think I will replace with Michelins all round.
Me too I will be doing this as an alternative. We will see how it goes.

Re: G21 B3 Pirelli ALP Tyres

Slightly different angle from me as it refers to my G20 D3s, but having done 27k, the rears are now in need of replacement. This would be the third set of tyres on the rear. The first 2 have been OEM recommended 20 inch Pirelli "ALP" tyres which means that they have not lasted at all, covering aroun...

Alpina D3s Detailed With 3 Year Ceramic Coating

Back in August I had a single stage enhancement detail on the G20 D3s. Also had a 3 year ceramic coating, engine bay detail and Interior deep clean. Three short reels on Instagram and you should be able to view the links if not logged in. It will be interesting to see how it looks after one year of ...

Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?

Managed to get more on the outside temperature reading than the mpg reading for the first time ever averaging 38mpg over 20k. Was too hot to post yesterday so did it today instead. I dont think the dash will report 42.5°C too often again in the UK, but may be common in some parts of the world no dou...

ALPINA B4 S Edition 99 #68

On a roll with rare Alpina cars at the moment in the UK with the recent Z1, B3 GT3 and now the B4S Edition 99. Watch your blue jeans on the white leather on this one for blue rub off. Looks beautiful though inside. Debadged now but I was sure that this was the one where someone had put a "318i" badg...

Suspect the price is rather high for a LHD with 100k+ miles, Sytner were asking considerably less for #031 which had 25k miles back in April apparently
Would agree with this one Bob.

I’d stump up a bit more and buy the B3 saloon instead @ 32k with some wiggle room….that one we know more about
I thought you would say something like that Hap being a B3 owner! I may be tempted one day :D

Re: Planning on buying a D3. Some advice needed please

I just discovered an MOT fail last September for exposed cords on both front tyres, and advisories for May this year for front discs worn or scored or pitted, and one front wheel slightly distorted - but this info is from an internet search site so I don't know how reliable this is. I assume the MO...
