Re: BMWs of the 20th Century

Hey Sab, I'm a bit confused by this event. Is it that p20th Century registered cars park on the field as a display and then everyone else is in the car park? I haven't planned to come along as my car is 2009 so on the face of it doesn't meet the age requirements. Hi Mark, I went to this event last ...

This is Josh's old B12 Avtar. He had it advertised on eBay in Nov-23 for £40k, then this dealer has had it up since Dec-23 for £65k

Re: ALPINA Register at BimmerFest - Sunday 9th June 2024

I think Simon has covered everything in his very comprehensive list. The only thing I would add is a European Accident Statement. As he mentioned you need a UK sticker, GB no longer valid. With regard to Hi Viz jackets I would ensure they are to hand, if stopped by the police put one on before leavi...

Re: ALPINA Register at BimmerFest - Sunday 9th June 2024

Bad timing for me, I will be returning on the 7th from a visit to the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings. Had thought of going to Bimmerfest, but my 2 previous visits made me realise that these events are not for me. First time was to Venlo, Norman will remember it well, morons with stupidly ...

Re: B10 V8: Converting to manual?

I thought I might miss the automatic in traffic but the clutch is light and responsive so it's no chore to drive when you hit stop and go. Overall, very satisfied with the experience. Unless you live in the middle of nowhere, the traffic in the UK is all stop and no go  Certain parts of our Mo...

Re: B10 V8: Converting to manual?

IMHO if you want a faster and Manual E39 buy an M5. You not only have the extra cost of a conversion, the very ethos of buying an Alpina V8 has been lost and perhaps on resale would limit the market. To me the whole point of a V8 Alpina is that it has an automatic box, with the switchtronic it is th...

Multi fake stickered E46 B3S 237

The E46 B3S Saloon covered in stickers and dymo tape is up for sale again at Classic Heroes. I find it difficult to understand why all that rubbish has not been removed. I believe it sold a couple of years ago for circa £21K, now up for 29K :wall2 As far as I can remember it took a long time to sell...
