Re: VIN decode

www.bimmer.work is still free but you will need to know all 17 digits of the BMW VIN. It won't decode an Alpina VIN unless it's one of the newer ones that is a BMW VIN but starting WAP (post 2019/20 cars?).

Re: TV Show 'Bangers: Mad For Cars Series 1 Episode 2'

A friend of mine's car was 'featured' in the first episode - a Lotus Carlton.

I recorded it and watching it back is 10 minutes of my life I will never get back

Presenters are a pair of clowns. Won't be watching any more that's for sure.

Re: Sytner ALPINA Meet 2023 - 22nd October

I hope everyone has a great day and the weather holds off. Sadly, I won't be able to make it as I have ice hockey matches to attend (I manage a team). I look forward to the photos though.

Re: Sytner ALPINA Meet 2023 - 22nd October

If I have no ice hockey clashes, would I be welcome with an M760Li?

MoT expired on the 1st of February 2017 so it isn't looking good.

Re: G31 B5 Touring Cornwall

I think it's the light playing tricks as this car, AFAIK, is Alpina Green.

Re: G12 B7 #013 - Collecting Cars

This one was for sale April of last year for the same amount at the same place. I suspect that it may have had some issues as I think it was at Nottingham for a while. It's #015, also from Singapore.

Apologies, 'disexlia' again, must remember to read before posting. Correct, V12 ALP was the redg. number seen. Anyway, I think it would be a good plate for one of the B12's.
It was on B12 6.0 SWB #066 at some point.

It is indeed #036

Re: Alpina Production Number Location

Alpina is a car manufacturer in its' own right but, as I understand it, for the cars to be sold with the BMW VIN scratched and an Alpina VIN instead would have a required a whole load of type approval/crash testing so they are sold as BMWs without the Alpina VIN to avoid any additional legislative r...

Re: G12 B7 #013 - Collecting Cars

I don't think the G1x series B7 was available in anything other than LWB. The pre-facelift was RWD and the facelift was AWD. I drive an M760Li (also only available in LWB although in the US it's called the M760i) and an X7 and both have their challenges to park but I find the width is more of an iss...
