I don't know what AM is but AGM is something like absorbed glass mat and does not have the same charging map as a normal lead acid battery so the car needs to be reprogrammed for this type of battery. If you just replace the existing lead acid battery with a new one, the map needs resetting for a ne...

We come to watch although I am originally from Plymouth but left when I was 2 in 1976. We always stay at Jury's Inn and wander around for a few days - we just leave the car in the car park for the duration.

Happy to hook up and chat all things Alpina ;)

It's back going through today. Mileage is wrong on the BCA site though, a type I suspect as the speedo shows 100,277 miles.

Hi Drew,

I think it was more down to volumes. Although they are similar, I would guess that the the E39 and E38 instrument clusters are similar but not identical.
Very few RHD B12s were produced for a mph market - this only being the UK. The only other RHD markets (Singapore, Japan etc.) were kph.

Alpina clocks weren't produced for MPH cars. Richard Croxford had a set specially made by Alpina for 066 but it cost a fortune IIRC. With regards to a VIN decoder. I used to use bimmer.work (the replacement for your link) but it consistently comes back with "Oops, something went wrong!" Try: mdecode...
